Cookie Policy

What this covers
This policy explains how BIDPOPULAR LLC uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies on BidPopular. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Categories we use
- Strictly necessary. Authentication and session tokens (kept in local storage by our auth provider), CSRF and security tokens, load-balancing and bot-protection cookies set by Cloudflare, and checkout state used by Stripe. The Service cannot function without these, so they are set without consent.
- Functional / preference. Your player and layout choices — chat auto-collapse, menu open state, smoothness mode, notification prompts dismissed, and similar UI settings — stored locally on your device.
- Analytics (first-party, aggregate). Playback health, view counts, and unique-viewer measurement used to run creator dashboards and keep the stream reliable. These are first-party and not used for advertising or profiling.
- Advertising / cross-site tracking. None. We do not set third-party advertising cookies and do not sell or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third parties that may set cookies
Stripe (payment processing and fraud prevention during checkout), Cloudflare (security, CDN, and video delivery), and Supabase (authentication). These providers act on our behalf under contract; consult their own policies for details of their technologies.
How long they last
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Authentication tokens persist until you sign out or they expire (typically within days). Preference values persist on your device until you clear them. Security cookies set by our providers follow their standard lifetimes, generally up to 12 months.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings, and clear site data for bidpopular.com at any time. Blocking strictly necessary items will sign you out and may break bidding, checkout, and playback. Where consent is required for non-essential technologies, we will ask before setting them, and you can withdraw consent by clearing site data or contacting us. Web push notifications are opt-in and can be revoked in your browser or in notification settings.
Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required; since we do not sell or share personal information, no additional opt-out is needed.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy as our technologies change and revise the date above. Questions? Email BidPopAdmin@gmail.com.
