Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy
BidPopular is for real creators. We're strict on promo so the stream stays worth watching. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to clips, bios, handles, avatars, and chat.
Moderation rule
"Would a normal person enjoy watching this even if they had zero interest in buying anything?"
Allowed
- • Original creative, funny, personal, artistic, or opinionated content
- • Authentic, lightweight sponsorships — only if the clip is genuinely entertaining on its own
Not allowed (MVP)
- • Pure product pitches or hard selling
- • Repetitive affiliate / MLM content with little entertainment value
- • Low-effort screen recordings of products
Rejected clips are not refunded. Slots are 20s, 40s, or 60s — prep your content to fit.
Slot lengths
Every slot is 20s, 40s (default), or 60s. Clips must be 20–60s — too long is auto-trimmed, too short is padded with branded filler.
Prohibited content
You may not submit, display, or post content that:
- Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights — including unlicensed music, film, TV, game footage, or brand marks.
- Is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or facilitates the sale of regulated goods (drugs, weapons, counterfeits, stolen data).
- Contains hate speech, slurs, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, doxxes, or incites violence against any person or group.
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexualizes minors in any way. Any content involving minors in a sexual context is reported to the authorities and results in immediate permanent termination.
- Depicts gratuitous gore, self-harm, or graphic violence.
- Impersonates another person, brand, or official account, or falsely claims affiliation, verification, or official status.
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam — including phishing, crypto/investment pitches, MLM recruiting, and fake giveaways.
- Contains malware, obfuscated links, or attempts to redirect users to malicious sites.
- Uses rapid strobing, flashing, or audio designed to harm or distress viewers.
- Contains political advertising, election misinformation, or paid issue advocacy.
Prohibited behavior
- Manipulating auctions: shill/self-bidding, collusion, bid sniping via bots, or scripted bidding.
- Automated access, scraping, load testing, or circumventing rate limits and moderation.
- Creating multiple or shared accounts to evade suspension, limits, or moderation.
- Payment abuse: stolen cards, fraudulent chargebacks, or credit resale.
- Probing, scanning, or interfering with the security or availability of the Service.
- Spamming chat, mass-mentioning, or posting unsolicited promotional links.
You are responsible for your content
BidPopular is a neutral platform that gives you the technical ability to bid for and display content live. You are solely responsible for everything you submit and must own or have licensed every element of it, including background music. Content airs live and is not stored by us for on-demand playback. Copyright complaints are handled through our DMCA Policy, and repeat infringers are terminated.
Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may reject a clip, remove content, cancel a slot, mute or restrict chat, suspend features, or permanently terminate an account. Rejected clips are not refunded and credits spent on a slot lost to a policy violation are forfeited. Serious violations can result in immediate termination without warning and, where required, referral to law enforcement. You can request human review of a moderation decision by contacting us.
Reporting a violation
Report chat messages in-app, open a dispute from any receipt, or email BidPopAdmin@gmail.com. For copyright, use the DMCA process. Include the handle, slot time, and a description so we can act quickly.
Frequently asked questions
- How long can a clip be on BidPopular?
- Every slot is 20, 40 or 60 seconds, with 40 seconds as the default. Uploaded clips must be between 20 and 60 seconds; clips longer than the slot are trimmed to fit, and shorter gaps are padded with branded filler.
- What kind of content is not allowed?
- Illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or deceptive content is prohibited, along with impersonation, scams, and spam promotion. The same rules apply to clips, bios, handles, avatars and chat messages.
- What happens if I break the Acceptable Use Policy?
- Depending on severity we may reject the clip, cancel or suspend the slot, remove the bio or chat message, restrict chat, or suspend or terminate the account. Rejected clips are not refunded, and accounts terminated for cause forfeit remaining credits.
- Can I use copyrighted background music in my clip?
- Only if you hold the rights. Buying or winning a slot grants no music or media license. You are responsible for all music, footage, trademarks, likenesses and voices appearing in your clip, and copyright owners can have it removed through our DMCA process.
- How do I report a violation?
- Report chat messages in-app, open a dispute from any receipt, or email our team. For copyright issues use the DMCA notice process instead. Include the creator handle, the slot time, and a short description so we can act quickly.
